Being Cast Strategic As An Expat Thespian
Push For Different Roles – As expat actors, we usually to take the “foreigner” roles that are given but that doesn’t mean we have to accept the status quo. One strategy; talk with your agent about the type of roles you want. You never know what the issue may be on why it’s difficult to get different roles but your agent should have their ear to the “industry” ground. Click here for tips on assisting your agent.
Categorize Your Acting Clips – Drama should be with drama, comedy with comedy and so forth. Your clips should be set up that if a casting agent is interested in you, for a certain role, you can send them the footage of what they need with ease. Put everything at their fingertips. Confession: I’m still working on this part.
